Social Media-People in this generation suffer from what I like to call Facebook Syndrome. We’re so connected digitally that a lot of young adults can’t even hold a decent phone conversation without it involving texting. Some kids in high school don’t even know their home phone numbers or even their address because the computer remembers for them. Now we all knew technology was going to take over our lives the moment the commodore 64 existed. It’s just so convenient and easy to use that why should we stick to the old ways of actually talking face to face or even just hearing another voice over the phone? We’re slipping into only communicating through text and that’s not okay. People need to hear and see and touch others, that interaction is what keeps a lot of us sane. Also being addicted to social media is a real thing, I myself just took the decision to stop being so active on Tumblr and let me tell you I feel so proud of myself for making this decision and It’s like a weight has been lifted from my psyche. I have so much more thought time to put towards projects or even to just spend time with people.Being active online shouldn’t mean your life outside the computer should be inactive. I know it’s winter now but spring is coming and if you like many others are glued to that screen, get up and go for a walk when the weather gets warmer. Walk your dog if you have one, play with siblings or cousins and just overall enjoy your physical existence on the planet.Want to read more like this? Check out my webpage here.
